Our Church has been a part of the Sherburne, New York community since it was first settled back in the late 1700s. The community Founders’ Stone, which is on our north lawn, has some of the same names as our current church members.
We are active in the Susquehanna Association of the New York Conference of the United Church of Christ and we are a congregation that is reaching to the future while rooted to our past and tradition. We, the congregation of the Sherburne United Church of Christ, declare ourselves to be open and affirming. With God's grace, we will welcome into the full life and ministry of the church persons of every race, culture, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and economic status. We welcome all to share in the life and leadership, ministry and fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities, and blessings of participation in our congregation.
